My current hometown is Rotterdam, one of the bigger cities in the Netherlands and the in some ways the port to Europe. If you forgot what the Netherlands are, then u might even know it from it’s capital…. Amsterdam.
Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands, That’s a lot bigger then I’m used to. I was born in a small village on the countryside of Drenthe, a Northen province of the Netherlands. I grew up living in a small house which was in the backyard of my school and if I think back to these days I remember myself drawing with everything I could get my hands on.
And this is what I still do, I start drawing, sketching or doodle-ing something every time I got some time left or my mind wonders off. This is where my design comes from, the best ideas are made when people think about nothing. Some of these sketches turn into architecture, graphic designs or logo’s for my clients. These clients find me mostly through the internet and see my work in creative web galleries or find my portfolio. I like to help my cliens with my graphic design service on a professional level through a clear design process with high attention to client, background and detail. When I’m finished with a design job I always try to present my work in a showcasebooklet which I send to my customers. This gives them something rather than only a piece of bytes, which I think makes a nice symbolic end of a design project.
